I was on CFAX yesterday morning talking about the Central Saanich election (2026-10-02) .
The key point is that consensus building takes experience. We also talked about public participation, development, and the Municipal Hall. I have been willing to vote no, sometimes alone, and I do not support the current Hovey Road plan.
With one Council meeting left, I don’t think major decisions should be rushed through now and tie the hands of the next Council.
For me, good local government is about listening, building relationships, and making room for people to take part.
